Zapf Creation - Chou Chou Advert: Does a Good Job of Appealing to Young Girls
The TV advertisement is about the dolls that young girls usually like to play with and their attached sensitivities. The commercial starts with the words ‘CHOU CHOU’ being shown on screen and an orange coloured teddy standing adjacently. When the teddy swings its arms, the screen is torn as if a wrapper is being untied to unveil the gift. A young adorable girl is shown sitting on a chair with her toy kept on the table. The girl is putting a jacket on her toy and has a beaming smile. The girl holds it in her arms and closes the door only to open it suddenly and enter the room with her toy. She makes the toy from Zapf Creation sit in a pram and gives it a toy.
She wraps something around the toy and starts feeding with a nipple. She is shown keeping the same teddy in the toy’s arms. She takes off her bag from the hangar and places it next to the toy. She is shown nursing the Zapf Creation Talking Chou Chou toy into a basket and putting it to sleep quite similar to the way a mother puts her baby to sleep. The advertisement has been shot highlighting the importance of a toy in the lives of girls and the sensitivities that are attached with it. Toys are always favourites with young children and their presence is necessary.
The commercial captures a lot of emotions going on in the mind of that little girl. The way she takes care of the toy shows her motherly instincts and the level of fondness she harbours for her precious toy.
