LeapFrog - Leap Pad: Educational Advert comes off quite well

The Leap Frog advertisement is about teaching a child how to write in an easy and convincing way. The advertisement starts off with a mother sitting on a table with her young son and tries to teach him how to write. The boy has a pencil in his left hand and is scribbling on the leap pad. The boy seems to be quite elated with the learning exercise he is doing and suddenly then, his father comes all dressed near him and takes a look at his son’s doings. The camera shots keep describing the benefits of kids being taught to read and write on leap pads. The child is shown scribbling on the letter ‘T’ with his mother adoring him. The he is shown writing the number 4 in a box.

The boy looks at his father and his father says something to him and then kisses his boy on the head. The father goes out to work and the boy is shown writing the word ‘peel’. The father sees a hand written note kept on the windscreen of his car with the words ‘I Love You’ written on them and a figure drawn with it. The father is touched by the gesture and the commercial ends with the father going back into his home. The advertising campaign is about marketing the Leap Frog Leap Pad and telling viewers the benefits, such as improved learning for their children, that come with product. There are a lot of emotional moments involved in the 29 second commercial and the benefits of the pad have also been highlighted carefully.
