L’Oreal Men Expert Ad Prey’s On Mens Vanity!
The cosmetic industry is bombarded with anti-wrinkle creams and anti-ageing formulations. Most of these creams are targeted only at the fairer sex i.e. women. However, cosmetic giant, L’Oreal Paris has launched a new product, a cream which is specially formulated for men. Their new advertisement on the same product is impressive enough. The 20 seconds advertisement both informs its viewers how ageing takes place in men, their product and its benefits.
The advertisement kick-starts with the stationary image of a good, young looking man with a clock featured along his face. As the clock starts progressing from 20’s to 30’s and goes on till 58, significant changes in the facial features of the young man also start taking place. The idea behind the clock is to actually portray the changes which our face goes through as our age progresses from 20 to 58.
The good, looking young man is shown growing old and not so appealing. The second frame of the ad shows the same man using the L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Wrinkle De-crease which helps to prevent ageing in men. The ad then informs about the function which their cream formulation i.e. Men Expert serves. It informs how the ad helps to hydrate the skin as well as smoothen out the wrinkles and fine lines in order to maintain the luminance of the face. The final shot of the ad again shifts its focus back on the young man who is seen walking in an office while his female colleague silently admires him
