Play-Doh: The latest Sony advert for its BRAVIA line of TVs

Sony always exceeds customers’ expectations with its outstanding products and it has extended the same approach towards the adverts it uses to showcase those products. Its LCDs under the brand name BRAVIA have already made their mark and the present advert only reinforces their power.

The latest advert from Sony, ‘Bravia Play-Poh‘ is a remarkable video that explicitly expresses the motive behind the advert. Sony’s LCDs have so many features and focusing on any one of them does the job. In this advert they are promoting the vibrant colours displayed by Bravia televisions like the Sony KDL-40W5500 LCD TV. The advert is accompanied by the popular Rolling Stones anthem, ‘She’s a Rainbow’. The song talks about the colours and their impact something the LCD promises to do. There won’t have been a better song for this theme and Sony has scored a perfect score to begin with.

There are countless cute, beautiful and differently coloured bunnies running around. The location is the busy Manhattan area with its crowds and traffic and all. They are propping up from drains, they are coming out of manholes, they are on road, they are running in parks, they are practically everywhere. They are having fun and are thoroughly enjoying themselves. Jumping and hopping they catch public attention.

Finally they converge at the Thomas Paine Park in Manhattan. They turn into a giant bunny right in the middle of everyone. The bunny then breaks up into small similarly coloured boxes. The boxes then turn over and over with different colours occupying the screen one by one.

The screen flashes with the lines, ‘Colour’ and then ‘like no other’. The message is clear and loud in every way possible. The advert is definitely as spectacular as Sony’s LCD’s always are.
