How to Master Marketing: Online and Offline Marketing Analysis

The Finnish mobile maker Nokia has always been known for its superb mobile phones, especially when it comes to technology. I have myself used Nokia mobile phones religiously for a long time now but I always had one single issue, the audio quality. Hence, my special interest in even the advertisement of Nokia’s latest offer, 5800 XpressMusic.

The beautiful video advertisement of the Nokia 5800, also called the Tube, is an eye catcher. This phone being a touch screen and music edition, the audio and video both needed to be the very best as that’s what Nokia seems to have in mind with this launch.

The ad starts with the singer saying, ‘Pump up the volume’ as also the same appears on the screen of phone. And lo, the good old club classic (with same words) of yesteryears starts though is apparently a reworked version by VV Brown.

The music keeps playing as the soothing blue colour on the screen keeps you hooked. You see a whole collection of speakers, drums, guitars, keys, etc that multiply the impact of music many folds.

In addition to this, there are horizontal information bars that keep stacking up at the bottom of the last one with the successive bars saying; turn it up, louder, never too loud, shattered glass, too loud. This clearly refers to the audio options that the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone is endowed with and the future proud owners can really look forward to. In the end the screen message and the audio change to 5800 XpressMusic, Big, Sound, Touch, representing the name and the highlights of the phone. The hand that is shown using the phone very categorically shows the ease of using the touch screen.

The best part, what appears on your TV screen all the time is actually the screen of the phone itself. And that’s my favourite part of the whole advertisement but obviously from the tube, I am expecting far more.
