McDonald’s Saver Menu Advert: Highlight the Offers to Attract More Customers

What comes to your mind when you think of a McDonald’s food chain? Apart from the yummy burgers and mouth-watering ice cream, MacDonald’s as a brand has always followed an amazing publicity strategy. Be it the “happy meal”, the “toys” or the special offers, the brand has always believed in attracting folks by highlighting new and striking schemes.

Look at their latest saver menu advert that is focused on a theme of a ‘99 price menu’. The TV commercial opens with an imaginary McDonald’s menu. Displaying the most delicious and the most popular foodstuff, the menu opens up with more specific things. These items are basically highlighted by their prices (rather economical prices). In fact, the prices are so low, it is practically more economical to dine at McDonald’s, rather than cook your own hamburgers at home using an electric barbeque device like the AEG TM 62600. Moreover, the male voice in the background sounds quite familiar and speedily narrates the menu in a comfortable and assuring manner.

First of all, there is a Mc. Chicken burger, followed by a cheese burger, both with some popping graphical background that communicates the respective prices. The next thing is a luscious Mc. Flurry and then comes our favourite fries. So what’s so special about this commercial? For digging into this matter, you actually need to think wisely. Actually it’s not just about this advert but about the entire method followed by the brand. It is simple and straight: create an offer and emphasize it through publicity.

One thing that I really loved in this advertisement is its climax, which coveys the message of saving money very well. The ad closes with the same McDonald’s signature “i’m lovin’ it’. So that’s the trick McDonald’s and other food chains have been using to be in focus.
